Ingredients: 31% 1/4 inch Bonsai Block(calcined clay), 31% 1/4 inch Pumice, 31% 1/4 inch Monto Clay (1/4 inch Turface), and 7% 1/4 inch Horticulture Charcoal.

    How is your Monto clay (Turface) different from your Bonsai Block (Calcined clay)? Isn’t Turface also a calcined clay?

      Hello Robert. Both clays are calcined(fired) but they are two different types of clay. Monto Clay is Montmorillonite and Bonsai Block is a ball clay similar to Akadama at its core. Monto is an acidifier and BB is not. Every soil should have an acidifier. I hope this helps
