I have bought several styles of the 4″ pots. Russian Blue oval which I think is the smallest but its also finely detailed, Ocean Blue which is a small rectangle shape & a little bigger and then my newest choice, the Basil Green oval which I found to be the biggest 4″ pot & its very sweet but functional & my new favorite. The Green Basil oval fits my plants better I think, I can get more surface soil than with the Russian Blue but I’m really happy with them all.

My husband has a very small bonsai. A juniper I think. It’s about 5”x5”. He wants to repot it and already has some of your bonsai soil, would this pot suit his needs?

Hello. Thanks for the message. A 4inch pot is probably too small for his plant. I would recommend visiting a local bonsai nursery to see what they have available. You can use the nursery locator tool at the bottom of our page to find one near you.

I’m worried the pots won’t be deep enough to allow for new roots. My current pot is over 2 inches deep. Is the depth of the pot going to be a problem?

Thanks for the message. Bonsai pots are very shallow and are not a good choice for some plants. You want to use a pot size that fits your plant. If you have already purchased the pots and need to return them please email us for a return label. We accept returns for any reason and never charge a restocking fee. We also cover the return postage.
